For information on using PPM, refer to the "PPM.QuickStart" file or run "perldoc ppm". To start using PPM, run "ppm" at the Windows command prompt or Unix shell prompt. On Unix platforms, all documentation for Perl and included modules is available as standard man pages. You may use the system's man program to browse these after installation. On Windows, a full set of documentation is included in HTML format, and can be conveniently browsed from the "Start" menu. On all platforms, most Perl documentation can also be accessed from the command prompt using the perldoc utility. To learn more about using perldoc, type "perldoc perldoc" at the command prompt. Source code for Perl and all extensions is included under the "source" tarballs. Note that most users will not need to recompile from the sources.
